I was a little disappointed in this movie, I think at least partly because it seemed so superficial and simplified. The movie is about a young man who is was created in a lab my a old man in a large mansion on top of a hill just above a quite suburban neighborhood. The young man started as basically a robot, and over time the old man slowly changed him to be more and more human. When the old man died the young man was completely human in appearance except for his hands, they were made of scissors. This progression is brought out in the movie by flashbacks. Shortly after the movie begins an Avon Lady goes to the only mansion and finds the young man living there by himself and fills sorry for him. She takes him home with her and tries to help him fit in, but not only because of his hands, but also because of his lack of social skills, he does not fit in. This is made even worse by the fact that he likes the daughter of the woman who found him, which makes her boyfriend jealous. This conflict causes so much trouble that the young man is finally chased back to the mansion by an angry mob.

For the Nick Carter fans who are trying to figure out where Nick is, it is my understanding that he is the boy playing on the Slip'n' Slid just before my capture number eight above. Also keep in mind that Nick was about ten years old at the time this movie was made which is about five years before the Backstreet Boys was formed.
